Automation Engineer
Our client, a manufacture of the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We have an opening for a Automation Engineer in our West Jordan, Utah, Utah manufacturing facility.
In this role, you will be responsible for control projects and will oversee/perform all phases of controls and automation project work and plant automation support. You will also focus on improving all aspects of existing automation, as well as, developing new automation equipment and controls integration optimization. Additionally, responsibilities include metrology and instrumentation design and calibration.
About You:
You will have a bachelor’s degree; (BS Degree in Chemical /Mechanical/Industrial Engineer is preferred)
You will have a minimum 4 years’ experience in automation and controls (could include internships).
You will have knowledge of Allen Bradley and Rockwell Authorization software/hardware, and be well versed in structured text programming.
You will have capital project support experience.
You will have instrument calibration experience. Certification preferred.
You will have general electrical experience.
You will have prior experience within a manufacturing environment. Experience within Food/Beverage/Dairy environment is preferred.
You will have working knowledge of food industry standards; AIB, PMO and FDA regulationsYou will design control systems
You will improve process and packaging system, safety, quality and reliability.
You will upgrade control system.
You will improve Operational Efficiency and Performance Efficiency.
You will support maintenance control activities – provide training and support to increase maintenance team abilities.
You will integrate control systems and platforms – reduce losses in milk, packaging and other materials.
You will ensure compliance with safety, regulatory and Group standards.
You will verify integrity of control loops, read prints and give input at the design phase of projects.
You will ensure accuracy of readings and measures – calibrate and otherwise validate instruments and control mechanisms. This position will have autonomous ability to make programming and control logic changes that affect the productivity of the plant, to recommend equipment, to enforce electrical and programming standards.
